Barry Mitcheson
Barry Mitcheson is a Principal Consultant at Wood with over 20 year’s experience in land quality consultancy. Barry has particular expertise in environmental chemistry and detailed quantitative human health risk assessment techniques and their application to support remediation design and regulatory decision making. He has project managed and provided technical support for all aspects of land quality assessment ranging from phase 1 and 2 land quality assessments to remediation projects and has extensive knowledge and experience of all stages of contaminated land assessment. This has included working with developers, contractors and industrial client as well as supporting government agencies and regulators assessing developments and land management issues. Barry has been involved in a range of industry initiatives. In particular he has recently been involved in developing guidance on waste assessment of soils with Association of Geotechnical and Geo-environmental Specialists (AGS).
