Julia Beeden

Flood Risk & Biodiversity Business Manager, Cambridgeshire County Council

Julia Beeden has worked in flood and water management for eleven years within the local government sector and has a strong interest in strong stakeholder relationships and holistic water management. Julia’s focus has been on developing strategy, policy and projects to deliver water infrastructure needed for growth and delivering the duties required by the Flood and Water Management Act 2010.

At Cambridgeshire County Council, Julia leads a proactive team delivering Lead Local Flood Authority responsibilities. Julia is currently Vice-Chair of ADEPT’s flood and water management group and a member of the Water Leaders Group, working to ensure a joined-up approach to flood and water management across the country. Julia has also previously enjoyed being a member of both Anglian Water’s Sustainability and Resilience Panel and the Anglian River Basin Liaison Panel.
