Marcus Adams
Marcus is Managing Partner of JTP, an award-winning international placemaking practice of architects and masterplanners.
Marcus is an architect and urban designer with substantial experience leading the design and delivery of major new mixed-use neighbourhoods, large scale regeneration, and strategic placemaking projects in the UK and internationally.
Marcus is leading JTP’s multi award-winning project Southall Waterside, one of London’s most significant regeneration projects, which is now on site and delivering the Mayor’s first Strategic Housing Zone. Inaccessible, underutilised and heavily contaminated by industry, the 45-hectare former Southall Gasworks provides a significant opportunity to capitalise on Crossrail investment, and transform the local area. The new quarter will feature 3,750 homes set in 5.6-hectares of public squares & parkland, including a kilometre of revitalised canalside, cycle paths and walking trails, and footbridge connections to Minet Country Park.
Marcus is a passionate believer in environmental and social sustainability and brings this experience to projects. He is a committed placemaker and drives design excellence and innovation throughout JTP.
