The Association of Directors of Environment, Economy, Planning and Transport (ADEPT) represents Place Directors from county, unitary and metropolitan authorities, along with Local Enterprise Partnerships and corporate partners drawn from key service sectors. ADEPT members are at the very heart of maximising sustainable growth in communities throughout the UK. We are delivering the projects that are key to unlocking broader economic success and creating more resilient communities, economies and infrastructure.

ADEPT is a membership based, voluntary organisation with over 80 local authority, 3 combined authorities, 3 sub-national transport bodies, 12 LEP and 18 Corporate Partner members across England. We represent members' interests by proactively engaging central Government on emerging policy and issues, responding to consultations and enquiries, and promoting initiatives aimed at influencing Government policy. We also represent public sector interests across all our key areas.

  • environment including waste, flood & water management, energy, natural capital, climate change
