Sam is Head of Smart Cities at the Environmental Industries Commission (EIC) – a trade association representing the environmental technologies and services sector. EIC’s Sustainable Smart Cities programme supports the use of smart and data-led technologies to meet the environmental, sustainability and resilience challenges faced by cities and places. EIC acts as neutral broker between the diverse range of stakeholders necessary for the market to function and provides a range of outputs, including: a central platform for the sharing of case studies; connecting people and facilitating collaboration; providing thought leadership and market intelligence; and lobbying governments and policy makers for a regulatory framework which supports and encourages innovation.
