Steve Cornes
Steve Cornes is the Electric Bus Project Manager at Nottingham City Council. He has worked closely with bus operators, manufacturers, DNOs and infrastructure providers to enable the use of electric buses in Nottingham since 2009. The electric fleet has grown to number 58 vehicles, which operate on 14 Council tendered Locallink bus routes; including Park & Ride services (the first fully electric park and ride services in the country).
After spending the last few years working on projects to supplement, reinforce and develop the existing electric bus charging infrastructure around the city, he is now working closely with Energy Services on an EU funded Interreg Demonstration Project involving the integration of renewable energy sources, a stationary battery and vehicle-to-grid assets at an NCC Municipal Depot.
