Flood Risk Management: Resilience & Adaptation

Ruth Burnham is a Senior Flood and Water Officer for Northamptonshire County Council, where she has worked since 2012, following five years as a flood risk engineer in a consultancy firm. As part of a small team she is involved in all aspects of the council’s duties as Lead Local Flood Authority, although her key roles include overseeing the surface water drainage statutory consultee process, management of capital flood alleviation schemes, and supporting flood investigations. Ruth holds a degree in Civil Engineering.
