Flood Risk Consultant, Unda Consulting

Thomas is a Project Manager and Flood Risk Consultant at Unda – a leading UK Flood Risk Consultancy. He is currently managing a wide range of projects, including Flood Risk Assessments and Surface Water Drainage Schemes for a variety of commercial and residential developments at multiple sites across the UK. Thomas works with Multinational Corporations, leading Architectural practises, and private land owners.

He has extensive experience of flood-focused UK planning policy, and a comprehensive understanding of the NPPF (England), TAN 15 (Wales), as well as regional flood risk planning policy including CS26 (Elmbridge) and CE2 (Kensington and Chelsea). Examples of recent experience include comprehensive Flood Risk Assessment and Drainage Strategies for 100+ unit residential developments, wider-area strategic Flood Risk Feasibility Studies for Local Authorities, and Drainage Strategy work for large scale hotel developments.  He also provides technical expertise to other Environmental Consultancies, as well as data analysis and environmental due diligence for both Insurance and Property Transactions.

Thomas has extensive environmental service industry experience which is utilised to develop new flood based consultancy products and conduct detailed third party data analysis. His presentation at Flood Risk Management: Resilience & Adaptation 2018 will analyse recent changes in policy relating to the management of flood risk and drainage, and the impact of these changes within planning.
