Kate Thompson
Head of Implementation, West Yorkshire Combined Authority & Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership. (Kate will be joining Cllr Swift for Q&A)
Kate leads the Implementation team within the Delivery directorate of the West Yorkshire Combined Authority overseeing £1.7bn of investment over the next 10 years. Kate and her team work with a range of partners to deliver a broad range of capital projects from transport, housing, enterprise zones, skills capital, digital infrastructure, energy efficiency and loans for business.
Kate has worked on a range of significant brownfield land schemes, including the reclamation of collieries through the National Coalfields Programme, bringing forward new housing in partnership with the private sector at the former Prince of Wales colliery in Pontefract and Copley Valley in Calderdale.
