Paul Bhatia
Paul is the CEO and co-founder of Geomatic Ventures Limited (GVL) which was incorporated in 2015 and originally a spin-out company from the University of Nottingham. The company holds a sole licence for the commercial exploitation of the patent pending Intermittent Small Baseline Subset (ISBAS) satellite radar data processing method. ISBAS can be used to identify and monitor very precise surface ground movements as an early warning system for a range of industries. The method is unique in that it can survey all classes of terrain and land cover types, including vegetation, to millimetre precision.
Paul holds an MSc in Engineering Business Management from the University of Warwick and has well over 20 year of industrial experience. Paul is a highly experienced business development manager, project manager and geospatial technology applications market practitioner. He combines his role as CEO of GVL with his day job as the General Manager of the Geospatial Research and Application Centre of Excellence (GRACE; which is a business engagement unit at the University of Nottingham).
