Born in Italy of parents in the diplomatic services and educated in Italy, Hong Kong, Holland, New Zealand, Luxembourg and the United Kingdom. Main interests: Sailing, Travelling, Photography. Aside from general duties as managing director of Van Walt Ltd, my specialties are in the more complex requirements for undisturbed sediment sampling, soil moisture measurements and telemetric solutions for water related environmental research. On site customer training is a big part of my life and this has been extensive in the UK, Ireland, Spain, New Zealand and also with longish stints in West Bengal, Democratic Republic of Congo, Kurdistan, Sudan, Somalia, Malta, UAE, New Zealand and the USA.
