Using TNFD to Create the Business Case for Action

About this event

The final recommendations from the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) were released in September and we are likely to see increasing demands from investors and other stakeholders for businesses to report on nature-related issues. Is this yet another ESG burden for organisations, or could it be a crucial tool to help businesses to understand and mitigate risks and dependencies and capitalise on opportunities?

Developing a stronger understanding of the relationship and interactions a business has with nature should be used to support strategic decision-makers to take account of potential dependencies, impacts, risks and opportunities, which in turn can be used as the foundation for nature-positive actions and more sustainable businesses in the future.

For any organisation at the beginning of their nature journey, it is important to start small and build on what you are already doing, whether that be your existing biodiversity and nature understanding and activities or existing disclosure experience. This Sustainability Delivery Group Expert Talk will explore how to begin your journey and use the TNFD to create the business case for action.
