Matt is a chartered environmental scientist with project and due diligence experience in the environmental assessment and management of developments in over 25 countries, including residencies in the UK, Bahrain, Qatar, Dubai and Sweden.  He is a technical leader in all aspects of air quality and carbon emissions management, working in different regulatory regimes and presenting evidence as an expert witness at planning appeals and to House of Commons Select Committee.  Matt is leading the real-time carbon footprinting initiative; winner of Wood’s Innovation Program 2020.  Real-time carbon footprinting brings together Wood’s expertise in carbon accounting and GHG emissions inventory, in-house software with regulatory approval, world class automation and control engineering to deliver automated, reliable and verifiable carbon reporting with asset management and engineering design support to meet corporate and regulatory targets for reducing emissions.
